The “Janette Paulson Classic” will be held SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 29th at 1:00pm, 2024 at Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake, MN.
This event raises money for the Janette Paulson Foundation, which awards a scholarship to a Blaine High School volleyball player, and educational grants to Blaine High School band members. These awards are presented in Janette’s honor to recipients chosen primarily on their personal conduct and dedication to team success.
With your continued support of the Janette Paulson Classic we have been able to give out over 60 scholarships/grants, totaling $40,000 to Blaine HS volleyball and band.
The Janette Paulson Award and Scholarship is given to a Blaine High School volleyball player each year who leads by example, demonstrates good sportsmanship and values education.
The Janette Paulson Educational Grant, the first of its kind for the Blaine High School Band Program, was created in 2016 to support music enrichment for Blaine High School band students. These grants are given to students who exemplify the qualities Janette most valued: class, dignity and respect for everyone. The grants are used to help pay fees for the Fred J. Miller summer band clinic, and the All-State band camp. The clinics/camps are exceptional opportunities for students pursuing band careers in their high school studies.
